Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly hoping to sign Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah for £20 million this month.
Mikel Arteta’s Emirates contract has fewer than 12 months left on it, and the England Under-21 captain has only been utilized as a bit-part player throughout Mikel Arteta’s stint at the club.
With an extension seeming increasingly doubtful, Nketiah is expected to leave in the current window, with West Ham and Leeds being mentioned as potential suitors in recent months.
According to The Sun, Brighton manager Graham Potter has chosen the 22-year-old as the ideal addition to his attack line, and the club is willing to pay £20 million to clinch a move.
Patrick Vieira is also interested in bringing Nketiah to Crystal Palace, according to the source, but the Eagles may be priced out of a move for England’s record goalscorer.
Last season, Nketiah scored five goals in 30 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions, however, he only started four Premier League games.
