Hearts of Oak gaffer, Samuel Boadu says Gladson Awako is set to join the Phobians.
Boadu revealed in an interview with Silva FM that he requested the signing of the 30-year-old.
The Ghana Premier League(GPL) champions are close to securing the signature of the playmaker from Great Olympics after agreeing personal terms with the player.
Ghanasportspage in a report few weeks ago mentioned that the player will sign two year deal for the 1911 club.
“Yes, it is true that Gladson Awako will be part of Hearts of Oak squad next season. I recommended him to the Hearts of Oak management and Board of directors,”
“He is a very good with enormous qualities which will help us in our next season’s campaign.” He added
Gladson Awako was one of the top performers in the just ended GPL with 6 goals and 5 assists alongside 4 man-of-the-match awards.
The former Tout Puissant Mazembe player has experience in Africa’s elite inter-club competitions and would be a good addition to Hearts of Oak for their CAF Champions League quest next season.
