Hearts of Oak have been phenomenal in the 2020/2021 league season. The club has been on 12 years of famine and hunger without a league trophy. Equally, they have been battling a lot in grabbing the F.A. Cup.
However, at the commencement of the league season, the team started poorly and many doubted to see where the club’s current stand is at the moment. But they proved beyond every reasonal doubt and gradually began to amass points. They triumphed several obstacles within their capacity and ability to head the league. Their strong contender Kumasi Asante Kotoko gave them a very hot chase but they were able to sail through.
With these outstanding performances of the club, Togbe Afede XIV, who is the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, the President of Asogli Traditional Area, and former President of the National House of Chiefs have shown up. He is also doubles as the Board Chairman and bankroller of the Accra Hearts of Oak Football Club in Ghana. He has expressed excitement and warm sentiments towards the playing body, technical team, and the entire administration.
He couldn’t hide his pleasure when the team paid a courtesy call and presented both the league and MTN FA Cups to him. He thanked the players for keeping the oak tree alive. He recounted that the oak tree needs pampering so it can grow big and this is exactly what they have done.
In his congratulatory message, he assured the players that, each of them is going to receive a surprise package in his account within this week. And he optimistic that, they are going to be pleased with it as they have pleased him with their outstanding performances.
However, for clarification’s sake, the club being able to win both the League trophy and that of the FA Cup simultaneously, makes them the eventual winners of the 2020/2021 Super Cup.
