Black Stars head coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor has announced a 30-man squad for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa next month.
The senior national team of Ghana will begin their FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 qualifiers campaign against Ethiopia and South Africa in September.
Hearts of Oak duo Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Richard Attah have been named in the squad.
Barnieh The young forward scored 9 goals in all competitions for the Phobians including the winner against Asante Kotoko in the title decider, as Hearts won the league.
Attah who makes a return to Akonnor’s list after receiving his second from the head coach kept 12 clean sheets in as many appearances from the Phobians in the just ended season.
The duo helped Hearts of Oak to win season double after clinching the Premier League and the FA Cup titles.
Ghana are scheduled to host Group G opponents Ethiopia on Friday, September 3 in Cape Coast, before playing South Africa on Monday, September 6, 2021 in Johannesburg respectively.
