Ex-Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong has assessed the performance of his former side after the 2020/21 season.
Kotoko was placed second on the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League table behind Accra Hearts of Oak and also missing the MTN FA Cup finals after being eliminated by Brekum Chelsea in the quarter final stage.
Kotoko going trophless this season wasn’t the expectation of the supporters. This has created a quarrel between the fan base and the management.
Amos Frimpong who captained the club for a long term was so sad seeing his former club ending the season without any achievement despite playing for Techiman Eleven Wonders.
Speaking to Ghanasportspage.com he claimed, “Kotoko started on a very good note just that the finishing was the problem. Their performance was good in their starting games but it was only the finishing that did not go well with them.”
“In all, I can say Kotoko’s performance wasn’t bad just that the fan base will assess them low because of not winning any trophy but in terms of performance on the pitch I will say it wasn’t bad.”
