Hearts of Oak have included workerholic midfielder Benjamin Afutu in their squad list for their CAF Champions League adventure, ghanasportspage.com can exclusively confirm.
In admits of back and forth regarding Afutu’s contract renewal, the midfielder was however registered for the teams Africa campaign.
A close source revealed to Ghanasportspage.com that, other terms of the contract has been already agreed but both parties are yet to settle on the personal terms of the two-years contract.
Afutu’s agent, Mr Daniel William Tackie confirmed on HOT FM that he gave Heats of Oak the go ahead to include his client in the squad.
“I gave Hearts the consent to register for Africa but I can’t tell if they registered him or not but for the contract I can tell you that we have not signed”
Accra Hearts of Oak after a long absence in CAF’s first tier competition will officially make their return in September as they face CL Kamsar from Guinea.
The Phobians will travel to Guinea between 10th-12th September 2021 before the return leg on 17th-19th September 2021.
