Hearts of Oak players have commenced their COVID-19 test ahead of the new season as the club reschedule first training.
Hearts unlike other Ghana Premier League (GPL) clubs will begin their 2021/2022 season early on the account of their involvement in CAF’s first-tier inter-club competition. The GPL is set to kick start in October.
The Phobians started the COVID-19 test and vaccination exercise on Thursday, August 19 and will continue today August 20.
The Ghana double champions look to regroup the squad after an almost two weeks break and begin preparations ahead of their CAF Champions League against CI Kamsar in September.
Reports reaching the dest of ghanansportspage.com shows that due to the testing and vaccination of the squad and a supposed meeting with the Executive Board Chairman, Togbe Afede XIV on Sunday, the team will officially resume training on Monday, August 23.
Initially, the team was said to start their first training last Thursday.
Meanwhile, Kamsar have already begun their preparation for the preliminary round encounter and were engaged in a friendly against Lanyi Sports Academy, which they beat the latter 4-1.
