Hearts of Oak will not embark on pre-season training outside Ghana ahead of their CAF Champions League adventure and new Ghana Premier League(GPL) season, ghanasportspage.com is reliably informed.
Ghanaian football consultant, Nana Kwarteng offered Hearts a pre-season training in Tunisia, which would have seen the Rainbow team use standard facilities of the club he works with, Avenir Sportif.
However, the latest information reaching our desk indicates Hearts of Oak have declined the offer and is set to host their preparations in Ghana on the account of being behind time.
The double champions will begin preparations for the 2021/20222 season earlier than the other GPL clubs due to their Champions League preliminary tie next month against CI Kamsar from Guinea.
Hearts of Oak will travel for the first leg against Kamsar on September 12 before hosting the second leg at the Accra Sports Stadium in two weeks time.
The team will resume training on Monday, August 23 after two weeks. Prior to the first training, the players together with the technical team will meet the management at the house of the Executive Board Chairman, Togbe XIV for dinner and the unveiling of new signings.
