Communications Director for Medeama SC, Patrick Akoto says newly-appointed head coach, Ignatius Osei-Fosu is a befitting manager for the club’s project.
The Yellow and Mauves on Friday, August 20 announced the signing of Fosu on a three-year deal to replace Yaw Preko and Yaw Acheampong.
Speaking on ‘Agro ne Fom’ on Adom TV, Akoto was in full praise of the fast raising manager.
“Medeama is now turning out to be a third force in the country and we believe in the young. We have had discussions with him and we believe that with the Medeama project this is the young chap we think we can work together. That is why we offered him three years contract…
“This is one coach that I have seen a certain level of acceptability right from the board to the supporters. It is like everybody agrees that this is the coach that we should go for.
“I am not saying that with Ignatius we are going to win the league or the FA Cup or we will be unbeatable in this country but we believe that he will build a formidable Medeama team that is capable of competing for laurels at the highest level not only in Ghana but in Africa.
“This is what we want to do in Tarkwa, relatively unknown(Coaches), they come and explode on our platform.”
