Black Queens captain, Elizabeth Addo has expressed dissatisfaction about the team’s poor preparations ahead of a mini-tournament in Nigeria.
Ghana together with other four Nations has been invited to play a six nations tournament hosted by Nigeria in Lagos to honour Dr. Aisha Buhari.
The Queens are drawn in Group B alongside, Cameroon and South Africa with competition due to start on September 13.
However, head coach Marcy Tagoe is yet to announce her squad and begin camping for the soon to start tournament, which has left Addo frustrated.
“No, everything is not fine because we have a tournament but up to now, we are not in camp and also there are foreign base players in our team so if the coach releases her list for this invitational tournament, how would we know ourselves as a team? there is no teamwork because we don’t know ourselves,” Addo told ghanasportspage.com.
“Everyone can play better but we don’t know ourselves, so everyone is going to play an individual game.” She stressed
“I think this invitational tournament is very important so it’s good we’re taking part and it will help the coach to get her team to face Nigeria in the upcoming Cup of Nations qualifier”, She concluded.
