Highly rated Medeama SC midfielder, Justice Blay has revealed that Asante Kotoko have not contacted him about a possible transfer to join the Reds.
Blay has been on Kotoko’s transfer list since his impressive loan spell with the Kumasi based side which he worked his way to become the fans favourite and an integral member of the squad that reached the group stages of the CAF Confederations Cup in 2019.
Unfortunately, Kotoko could not make the deal permanent after deeming Medeama’s asking price of $100,000 as enormous.
Currently, the 29-year-old has few months left in his contract and several reports claim that the Porcupines have revived their interest in the player, hoping the Yellow and Mauves will this time lower demands.
The Black Stars midfielder has confirmed to ghanasportspage that Asante Kotoko are yet to engage him over a potential move.
“I’ve not heard anything about the move and no one has called me. I’m at home at the moment, I’ve not gone back to Tarkwa yet but no top-ranked member (Asante Kotoko) has called me.” He told ghanasportspage.com
Justice Blay is undergoing rehabilitation after sustaining a harrible injury that abruptly ended his 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season. He is espected to be get back to full fitness before the new season start in October.
