Ghana Premier League champions, Hearts of Oak have opened talks with midfielder, George Asamoah for a possible transfer ahead of the 2021-22 football season.
The 23-year-old’s exceptional performances in the just ended season has attracted interest from numerous clubs in the domestic league including Kotoko, Great Olympics and Elmina Sharks.
Ghanasportspage.com can authoritatively report that the Phobians who are beefing up their squad for next season have joined the race and have gotten in touch with the defensive midfielder who is currently out of contract at relegated Ebusua Dwarfs.
However, the former WAFA midfielder and his local agent have set the conditions that would convince them to join the capital club. The midfielder is currently looking for assurance of playing time.
Asamoah joined Ebusua Dwarfs last season after leaving Ghana Premier league outfit WAFA SC the previous season.
He capped 31 matches for Ebusua Dwarfs in the 2020/21 league season, scoring three goals, four assists and winning two MVP awards.
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak have been the busiest club on the transfer market having already signed Gladson Awako, Salim Adams, Isaac Agyenim Boateng, Kofi Kordzi, Enock Asubonteng, Benjamin Yorke and Suraj Seidu for their next season’s campaign.
