Ghana Premier League(GPL) player of the season nominee, Gladson Awako is not obsessed with winning the award, saying he is ready to congratulate anyone who wins it.
According to the former Great Olympics skipper, all the nominees deserves the accolade for their hard work throughout the past season.
Five players have been shortlisted for the prestigious individual award sponsored by NASCO, which includes WAFA midfielder Augustine Boakye, Hearts of Oak duo Benjamin Afutu and Ibrahim Salifu, Karela United striker Diawisie Taylor and Gladson Awako.
“I think all the players nominated have done very well and I feel everyone in the category deserves to win the award. So whoever wins it we will all congratulate him and move on. As we are still playing, we all hope that in the future things will go the way we want.” he said in audio aired on Wuntomi Online on Facebook.
Awako concluded by thanking his former teammates and coaching staff for making his time at the Wonder Club a success and hope to have a good spell with Hearts of Oak.
“I would like to thank everyone who supported me in the past season at my former club, the coaches, the players and everyone who contributed to me been nominated for player of the season. Also, since I arrived everything is going on well in training and I hope it will continue like this.”
