AFRICA: 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers – first-round results and highlights

2022 FIFA World cup CAF qualifiers first-round games kicked off across the continent. The first-round of matches started on 2nd September 2021.The games started on Wednesday with four of the six matches ended in home wins while the other two ended in 1-1 draws.

The Central Republic of Africa and Cape Verde had a 1-1 drawn game. Togo traveled to Senegal but Mane and Diallo secured Senegal their first 3 points. Libya, Egypt, and Mali all picked maximum points in their first games of the qualifying campaign.
