The former Medeama goalie has joined Legon Cities FC for the forthcoming Ghana Premier League season having signed a two-year deal with the Royals.
Although the club is yet to officially announce the transfer, the experienced shot-stopper has been spotted in a photo posted on Oyerepa FM’s Twitter page with three other Legon Cities players during the team’s preseason training in Koforidua, Eastern Region.
Ofori-Antwi was closing in on a move to Hearts of Oak at some point saw a late twist in his transfer after Cities met Medeama’s demands.
The Black Stars goalie confirmed in an interview with Service Radio last month that he has signed a contract with Accra based side until 2023.
“For now I still have a contract with Medeama Sc and per the football rules, I can have conversations and negotiations with any club.”
“But If Medeama doesn’t accept the offer I can’t go but as for now I have agreed on a two-year contract with Legon Cities.” He added
Eric Ofori will be in competition with Sylvester Sackey and Fatawu Dauda for the number one spot in the new season set to start in October.
