Each player of the Black Stars has been paid USD5,000 as winning bonus following their win over Ethiopia on Friday, September 4.
Ghana defeated Ethiopia 1-0 to open their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers with a win at the Cape Coast Stadium.
Mubarak Wakaso’s long range effort on the stroke of half time secured the win for the Black Stars as they topped Group G in the first round.
The Government of Ghana through the Youth and Sports Ministry have therefore settled the agreed winning bonus of USD5,000 per match.
At the moment, the players have departed to their various clubs after losing their second game against South Africa on Monday and will return or the next international break in October.
Ghana sits third in Group G on the same points-3 with Ethiopia as South Africa lead with 4 points while Zimbabwe lies at the bottom with a point.
