Hearts of Oak spokesman Opare Addo, has said that the Phobians are in advance talks with workaholic midfielder, Benjamin Afutu and hopes to agree on a deal soon.
Hearts opened talks with Afutu in 2020 over his contract which was due to run out this year. Unfortunately, the club is yet to reach an agreement with the player since.
At the moment, the player is out of contract but has given the Ghana Premier League champions his word to continue and thus has been registered for the team’s CAF Champions League adventure.
According to Opare Addo, Hearts of Oak is edging closer to extending the stay of the Black Stars B midfielder at the Rainbow side.
“On Afutu, we have reach a point where we are hoping he will agree and extend for the club so that we will continue the relationship.” He told Nhyira FM
Benjamin Afutu was a significant figure to Hearts of Oak’s league triumph last season, scoring five goals coupled with consistent energetic performances throughout the term.
