Board Member of Asante Kotoko, Evelyn Nsiah Asare has sued Kumasi-based radio station, Light FM for defamation of character.
Light FM’s sports crew has made series of allegations against the board member hence the action.
It was reported few weeks ago reported that the Board Member has sent video footages of their sports show making unfounded allegations and has received the go ahead from her lawyers who will represent the case at court to file the law suit against the station.
The Hasaacas Ladies CEO believes the allegations were made with “malicious intent” and has therefore, sued for damages at the Kumasi Circuit Court.
The suit according to our checks, the Plaintiff is demanding GH¢2 million in damages from the radio station, as well as a retraction and an unqualified apology.
The suit is to serve as a deterrent to other radio stations who make false allegations against the Board and the management of the club.
