Former Asante Kotoko striker, Naby Laye Keita has expressed his gratitude to the club’s fans after ending his three-year stint with the Reds.
The Guinean attacker joined the Ghana Premier League record holders in 2018 and went on to become one of the important players for the Porcupines.
The 28-year-old abrogated his two months remaining contract with the Fanulous club, citing lack of playing time.
In a farewell message to Kotoko fans, the striker has wished the club all the best going forward and thanked its vociferous supporters for their unflinching support since he arrived in Kumasi.
“I was very impressed with the fans throughout my stay at the club. I’ve never played for a team which their fans love the club than Kotoko. I played for the biggest team in Guinea for three years, they have supporters like Kotoko but Kotoko supporters are special, that one, I can’t deny it,” he told Ghanasportspage.com in an interview.
“Whenever I’m on the pitch, I feel like I am playing an African Cup. Even when you are tired, and they are at the park, you can’t even think of getting tired because they are in the stands watching you so for that, I was very very impressed. I thank them and I will follow the club for the rest of my life”
