Ghana Premier League side, Karela United have denied reports linking their striker, Diawisie Taylor to Asante Kotoko.
Its been reported that the Porcupines are close to completing a deal for Taylor who was in a rich vein of form last term for the Anyinase-based side.
“We have been asked this question on a number of times and I can confirm there has been no approach from Kotoko,”
Karela United communication Director, Nii Armah Ashong Katai confirmed to Nzema-based West End Radio”.
“It is never true Kotoko has contacted us, the only team in Ghana that has officially written to us is the league champions, Hearts of Oak. Any approach from Kotoko would need to be done by rules. But as we speak, there is absolutely nothing like that from the 23-times league winners.
“He also added that, there are other deals the club have received from North Africa and the Southern European countries”.
Taylor scored 18 goals in 31 matches, made 7 assist and won 4 man of the match awards during the 2020/21 season.
