Ghana Premier League Champions, Hearts of Oak, thumped Banana Inn FC to conclude preparations for their CAF Champions League game against Guinean side Club Industriel de Kamsar.
New boys Agyenim Boateng and Suraj Musah Seidu scored their debut goals for the club with Daniel Afriyie netting brace another to secure a 4-1 win in the match which was played behind closed doors.
The Phobians now brings long weeks of preparations to an end as they look set for the one-off game on Sunday, September 19.
The match was originally two-legged but due to political instability in Guinea and for security reasons, CAF cancelled the first leg which was scheduled to take place last Sunday.
Therefore, the results of the second leg will determine the team that will progress to the next round.
As part of conditioning the players for the highly significant match, Hearts engaged in five friendlies including today’s match, won three and lost two.
The Rainbow team beat Adabraka Welders FC, Tema Youth FC and Banana In FC with the loss coming against Accra Lions and Togolese side Asko de Kara.
