Hearts of Oak’s star signing, Gladson Awako could miss the club’s CAF Champions League game against Club Industriel de Kamsar on Sunday, September 19.
Awako after missing Hearts’ last three friendlies is reportedly under the weather and could not be fit in time for the crunch encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The former Great Olympics man last featured in the Club’s 2-0 win over Tema Youth has last week and has since not trained with the team.
According to Phobia News, the player is doubtful for the one-off preliminary round tie against Kamsar as he is still yet to resume training.
Awako adds up to a tall list of players that will be unavailable for the game on Sunday. Kojo Obeng Junior, Abdul-Nurudeen Aziz, Abdul Mamani Lawali and Daniel Kodie will miss the game through injury.
Hearts of Oak, nonetheless, continue their preparations for the match as they beat lower-tier side Banana Inn 4-1 in a behind closed doors friendly today at the Accra Sports Stadium.
