Ghanain midfielder Edmund Addo was in action for Moldovan based club Sheriff Tiraspol as they secured their first win in the UEFA Champions League opener against Shaktar Donesk from Ukraine on Wednesday evening.
The game was held at Sheriff Stadium in Moldova.
Sheriff Tiraspol grabbed their first goal in the first half by courtesy Malian international Adama Traore on the 16th minute. Guinean attacker Momo Yansane scored the second goal for Sheriff Tiraspol on the 62nd minute in the second half. Brazilian defender Christiano assisted both goals for the Moldovan side.
Edmund Addo was subtituted on the 86th minute for Stjepan Radeljic to also play in the last four minutes of the game.
After the game Edmund Addo was rated 6.7 after making 18 accurate passes representing 94.7% and 33 touches.
FC Sheriff are the first Moldovan side in European Cup history to play in the Champions League and they have won their first game 2-0 against Shakhtar.
