The Regional Football Association and the Middle League Committee in the Eastern Region has released a letter condemning the behavior of Referee Emmanuel Coffie Agudavi and his two other assistants, Bismark Amakye and Nicholas Addo for poor officiating in the Middle League game between Kwaebibirem United FC and Okwahu United FC on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Dawu Sports Stadium.
The RFA and the Committee depicts the behavior of the officials as ‘unprofessional’. Using the same platform, the RFA announced to it’s members that the final game scheduled on come Sunday, September 19, 2021 will be hold on until further notice but the group A matches scheduled on Thursday, September 16, 2021 will be played.
In a letter signed by the General Secretary of the organization, the RFA states “We apologies for the ‘unsporting’ behavior that ensured during and after the said game which was a return to hooliganism that disrupted the Eastern football and Ghana as a whole. Meanwhile the Eastern RFA has tasked it prosecutors to start immediate investigation on the incident.
“Again, the Eastern RFA prosecutors have been tasked to prefer the appropriate changes immediately and for the Disciplinary Committee to sit on this matter rapidly.”
