Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Chairman, Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has called for the head of the GFA Technical Director Bernhard Lippert.
The German national was appointed as the technical director of the Ghana Football Association in October 2020 to replace long-serving Francis Oti Akenteng who handled the role for more than a decade.
Many have questioned the German trainer’s work since he was appointed and Dr Tamakloe believes it is his irresponsibilities that led to some poor decisions taken by CK Akonnor when he was heading the Black Stars coaching department and therefore must be shown the exit door.
“I would have fired him [Lippert] immediately because it is his advise that led CK [Akonnor] into this sort of situation in which he is unless CK ignores some of the advises he gives. But if CK listens to him carefully then some of the technical advises he has been given is totally rubbish and that led us to this sort of situation we find ourselves so if CK is gone, he should follow him,” he said in an interview with Metro TV.
Akonnor was relieved of his duties on September 13, together with two other assistants. This follows the receipt of the technical reports from Akonnor and the Black Stars Management Committee.
Meanwhile, a three-member committee made up of Vice President of the GFA Mark Addo, Upper East Regional Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Salifu Zida and Dr. Randy Abbey have been set up to find a Head Coach and Assistant Coaches for the Black Stars.
