Berekum Chelsea skipper, Stephen Amankona set for medicals at Asante Kotoko SC in the coming days to complete his transfer after the Reds reached agreement with the Bibires.
The inside forward had a stellar outing for Chelsea last term and his numbers tell no different story.
Amankona finished the season with 12 goals and 7 assists in all competitions, making him the tops top scorer and the player with most goal investment, 19.
Following his remarkable performance, Ghana Premier League sides including Hearts of Oak, Medeama, and Legon Cities all showed interest in the wideman but Kotoko seems to have won the race.
According to Oyerepa FM, Kotoko and Chelsea have reached an agreement, thus the player is set for medicals at Komfo Anoakye Teaching Hospital (KATH) next week.
The report further indicates that the Sunyani outfit lowered their initial asking price and have agreed to the payment structure proposed by the Porcupines.
Stephen Amankona, at the moment, is edging closer to becoming the third signing for the Reds in the transfer window after Richamond Lamptey from Inter Allies and Maxwell Agyemang from second tier side Mighty Royals.
