The Phobians defeated Guinean side Cl Kamsar 2-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon after goals Kofi Kordzi and Salim Adams ensuring the Ghanaian champions book a place in the next round of the competition.
Hearts needed a result in the one-legged tie and got the job done with the next round still left to be played to secure a place in the group stages of the competition.
Samuel Boadu’s men now set up a meeting with the Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club.
Hearts of Oak will visit Wydad on October, 17 before hosting the Moroccans two weeks time between 22 and 23.
