Black Stars midfielder, Kudus Mohammed scored on his injury return as Ajax thump Fortuna Sittard in the Eredivisie.
The young Ghanaian sensation suffered an injury during a pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich and has been on the sideline since July.
On his first appearance of the season, Kudus announced his return with a goal in Ajax’s 5-0 away victory to stretch the lead at the top of the table.
The former Nordsjaelland attacking midfielder was subbed-on on the 46th minute but had to wait until the 72nd minute where he tapped in Dusan Tadic’s square pass to make it 4-0.
Kudus Mohammed since his injury has missed Ghana’s first two Group G games of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopian and South Africa but could be available for the double-header against Zimbabwe next month.
The Black Stars are third in the group tied with Ethiopia on 3 points each while South Africa takes the top spot with a point difference.
