Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of Phar Rangers youngster Clinton Opoku.
The 18-year-old was spotted at the Adako Jachie training grounds on Monday afternoon, training under new coach Prosper Narteh Ogum when the team resumed preseason.
After impressing the technical team, Kotoko have awarded the fleet-footed Opoku a 4-year deal after passing his medical.
Clinton Opoku will join the Reds from Phar Rangers after their demotion to the Division Three League by the Ghana Football Association.
He is a player with a special gift and finesse, speed paired with technique and skills — at just age 18.
Opoku joined Phar Rangers from Eastern Region based Kwaebibirem United FC.
Asante Kotoko are currently busy on the transfer market for strategic signings after the acquisition of former Inter Allies midfielder Richmond Lamptey and Maxwell Agyemang of Wamanfo Mighty Royals FC.
