The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS) have denied granting the Ghana Football Association to proceed on appointing Milovan Rajevac as the new Black Stars coach.
Reports in the media claimed the Government of Ghana in this regard represented by the MoYS have approved the appointment of Rajevac to take charge of the Senior National Team.
In a release dated, Thursday, September 23, 2021 the sector indicated that it has not agreed the Serbian’s appointment nor approved the report $45,000 salary.
The MoYS in the rejoinder issued by the Public Relations Unit stated that it is waiting for a report from the FA on a new Coach after dismissing Charles Kwabla (CK) Akonnor earlier this month.

CK was shown the exit following 1-0 defeat to South Africa in the FIFA World Cu qualifiers which brought an end to his almost two years in charge as the Black Stars head coach.
Ghana positioned 3rd in Group G of the qualifying round on the same points with Ethiopia, 3 points each with South Africa leading the group with 4 points while Zimbabwe lies bottom with none.
