Ashanti Gold SC have appointed Ernest Thompson Quatey as new head coach for the forthcoming Ghana Premier League season.
The former Ebusua Dwarfs manager has penned a two-year deal with the Miners which will run until 2023.
The Gold and Blacks via a social media post announced the appointment.
Ernest Thompson takes over from stopgap coach Thomas Duah who led the club to the MTN FA Cup final last term to finish the season on a high after having an average turn out in the League.
Ashanti Gold finished 9th on the table accumulating 45 points after 34 games.
The Miners will hope to have an improved performance under Thompson who had fairly a successful spell at Dwarfs last season before resigning from his role for unknown reasons.
