Asante Kotoko have had a long-standing interest in the Medeama midfielder Richard Boadu ‘Agadas’ and a deal could be struck soon.
The Porcupines are determined to strengthen their squad after losing faith in most players who failed to convince their teeming fans in the just-ended season.
Before Richard Boadu traveled to Serbia for trials with Partizan Belgrade, Asante Kotoko had agreed in principle with Medeama for the services of the defensive midfielder.
Medeama set a price tag of GHC150,000 (1.5 billion Old Cedis) and Asante Kotoko pledged to pay the amount.
Unfortunately, the 23-year-old traveled to Serbia, and Negotiations stalled between Kotoko and Medeama.
Upon his return, Medeama wanted to increase the amount but Moses Parker who is the president of Medeama had a change of mind and decided to maintain the old price tag.
So on paper, Asante Kotoko and Medeama have agreed on the transfer fee but still negotiating Medeama’s onward transfer percentage.
On Friday morning, Medeama ordered Richard Boadu’s camp to start their personal negotiations with Asante Kotoko.
In summary, Richard Boadu’s move to Asante Kotoko is 75% Done.
