Incoming Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac has arrived at the Ghana Football Association headquarters ahead of his confirmation.
The Serbian gaffer has been in Ghana since Monday and has held successful talks with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to take over as new Head Coach of the senior national team, replacing CK Akonnor who was sacked following a string of uninspiring performances.
Per reports, Milovan Rajevac has signed a 2-year deal and will earn around $30,000 per week. The 67-year old’s return to the Black Stars will be made official this afternoon at a press conference at the GFA Secretariat at exactly 2pm.
He was spotted at the secretariat with Maxwell Konadu who according to reports will serve as his assistant.
Milovan Rajevac previously managed the Black Stars between 2008-2010. The Serbian led the Black Stars to the quarterfinals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
He also led Ghana to the final of the 2010 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Angola and the final of the 2009 CHAN tournament in Ivory Coast.
For his immediate task, he will be expected to lead Ghana to back-to-back wins in October when the Black Stars face Zimbabwe in a double-header clash in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
