Medeama SC midfielder, Justice Blay has apologised to the club after going public over unpaid salary.
Blay during last month took to his WhatsApp status to complain about his teammates receiving salary for previous month,June, with the exception of him who was nursing a long term injury.
Few days after the post the Black Stars midfielder explained the rationale behind the post in an interview with Kessben FM.
“I posted that but is nothing bad. I wrote that because of the pain I am going through. I’m Injured, and I’m at home. I have to eat. My salary has not come and I heard the owner of the club has been sending salaries through MoMo to the players at national team camp so had to call him(Moses Parker) to send mine as well but he said for us, ours will be paid through the bank, and I’m still waiting, it hasn’t come.
“I called him yesterday, it was because I’m in pain, I’m starving and that made wrote it yesterday. They looked after me well when I got injured. I can apologize, is not about the injury, if I did not do the right thing, they should forgive me. I don’t wanna leave. I want to stay at Medeama” he said as quoted by Kessbenfmonline
Justice Blay has against taken to his WhatsApp status to this time apologies for his reaction to the situation, saying his comments where ‘childish’ .
Blay is currently making progress with his recovery and could return to action for Medeama in the next few months with the new Ghana Premier League season set to start in October.
