The technical team of Black Stars is set to invite Ghanaian midfielder, Edmund Addo to the Black Stars team ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe next month in Cape Coast and Harare.
According local media report the 21-year-old Ghanaian midfielder is in line to receive his first national team call-up after the ACF Fiorentina midfielder complained about an injury.
Addo has emerged as the perfect candidate to replace Duncan following his exploits in the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League and Moldavan Premier League respectively.
Addo performed a wonderful for FC Sheriff Tiraspol in their historic champions league win against champions, Real Madrid CF on Tuesday evening at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
Ghana need a win against Zimbabwe in both legs enhance their chances of making the playoffs and fight for a slot to appear in Qatar.
The Black Stars are currently in 3 points in Group G while Zimbabwe has 0 points after two games. South Africa leads with 4, Ethiopia lies second with 3 points. Ghana will host Zimbabwe on 9th October 2021 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
