Hearts of Oak SC defender, Caleb Amankwah is confident about stunning the Phobia fans by knocking out Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) in the CAF Champions League.
Hearts is tied with WAC for a group stage play-off encounter after seeing off Guinean side Club Industriel de Kamsar in the preliminary stage of the competition.
Section of the Rainbow supporters believes it will be difficult to eliminate last season’s semi-finalist and two times competition champions.
However, the former Aduana Stars defender thinks otherwise.
“Ghana will be proud of the whole team. We will able to pull a surprise in the faces of our supporters and sympathisers.We will make Accra Hearts of Oak and Ghana as a whole proud. We are focus.” He said after Hearts defeated Tema Youth 4-2 in a preparatory match.
Caleb added that he has recovered from a minor injury he suffered during the game against Kamsar.
“I’m fully fit and ready to take part in any crucial activities if my performance at the training grounds is good for the coach selection”.
The first leg against WAC set at October 17 in Ghana before the second leg on October 23/24 in Casablanca, Morocco.
