Former Ghana topflight side Kwaebibirem United claimed a hard-fought 2-1 win over Okwawu United at the Akim Oda Park to sail through to the final of the Division One League qualifiers.
The victory against the Soccer Mountaineers on Sunday afternoon means Kwaebibirem United have secured qualification to the final of the Eastern Region Division Two Middle League.
Goals from Prince Gamo and Maxwell Pele in the first half were enough for Kwaebibirem United to record victory against the Nkawkaw based club.
Okwawu United came in stronger in the second half but could only score a consolation goal ending their quest of returning to the Division One League.
The Asuom-based club topped Group B with 7 points to set up final against ambitious Koforidua Suhyen Sporting Club.
Meanwhile, Kwaebibirem United and Koforidua Suhyen Sporting Club will have to battle for a sole slot in Zone 3 of the Division One League.
The Eastern Region Football Association (ERFA) will set up a date for the much-anticipated final.
