Major boost is blowing the camp of Ghana football as Raphael Dwamena returns to playing on the pitch again after a year of sideline due to a heart problem. The Ghanaian International wrapped up with an assist on his return.

Exciting Ghanaian striker Raphael Dwamena has made a positive comeback in doing what he does best on the field of play by tormenting defenders and scoring.

Dwamena who has been out for one year due to heart-related issues, made a strong comeback today [Sunday] for Blau-Weib Linz, when they stunned Wacker Innsbruck 1-0 at the Tivoli Stadion Tirol in Innsbruck.

He was named in coach Gerald Scheiblehner’s lineup and dazzled superbly throughout the match.

The Red Bull Salzburg academy product provided a fantastic assist which was buried in the net by Aleksandar Kostic in the 89th minute to give his side all the maximum three points.

The 26-year-old last competitive game was on October 18th, 2020 when he lasted forty-six minutes for Danish side Vejle in the Super Liga.

In 2017, the Ghanaian international saw a move to Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion annulled for reportedly failing a thorough medical examination in relation to his heart condition.

Dwamena scored twice on his Black Stars debut in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia in 2017.

His current contract with Linz will end in 2023.

He has in the past played for clubs such as Red Bull Salzburg , FC Lustenau , FC Zurich , Levante and Real Zaragossa .
