25-year-old United Kingdom-based goalkeeper Jojo Wollocott is the first player to touch down in Ghana after being invited by Coach Milovan Rajevac on his return as the Black Stars Coach.
The Swindon stopper got his first national call up and expressed his delight with having the opportunity to shine for his country Ghana.
He was born in Bristol UK and moved from Bristol Town to Swindon where he has become the number one choice, keeping four clean sheets in ten matches.
The player arrived at the Kotoko International Airport on Sunday Evening and looked delighted to arrive home as he was seen beaming with smiles in his all-black attire. He was met on arrival by officials of the FA and whisked to the team hotel to begin preparations for the assignment.
Ghana is facing Zimbabwe in a two-match face off in Cape Coast and Harare in crucial World Cup qualifying matches. Jojo will compete with Ibrahim Danlad, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, and Richard Atta for the number spot, as first choice Richard Ofori is out of the team due to injury.
