A dyed-in-the-wool Asante Kotoko fan Mr Owusu Agyemang has promised to donate an amount of GH¢10,000 to support management to sign Medeama midfielder Justice Blay.
Medeama have placed GH¢70,000 on Blay with the Porcupines ready to pay GH¢50,000 which Medeama are not ready to slash a dime from the valuation.
The deal is stalled at the moment due to Kotoko’s unwillingness to add the GH¢20,000 to meet Medeama’s asking price.
Blay, in an interview with Fox FM on Monday made a solemn plea to supporters of Asante Kotoko to help him realize his dream move of rejoining the Porcupines by raising the remaining GH₵ 20,000 for his transfer to happen.
“I heard Medeama are demanding for GH₵ 70,000 which Kotoko are also ready to pay GH₵ 50,000 and that has stalled my move to Kumasi so if ‘our’ supporters can help me raise the GH₵ 20,000 to add up to what Kotoko has offered so that I can move to Kumasi by Monday, I will be happy,” Blay said.
However, a stauch fan of Kotoko believed to be a banker in Tarkwa with the name Mr Owusu Agyemang who’s also a fan of the 29-year-old midfielder has promised to pay GH¢10,000 to aid Blay’s move to the Baba Yara Stadium. He revealed this in an interview with Tarkwa-based Mining City Radio.
The 29-year-old has a contract that keeps him at Medeama until January 2021 but has been left out of Medeama’s team for their preseason.
Blay before his injury was in a terrific form in the 2020-21 season for Medeama, featuring 16 times, netting three goals in the process before picking up the injury against Legon Cities in Tarkwa which kept him out of the rest of the just-ended season.
