Asante Kotoko SC defender, Abdul Ismail Ganiu together with four other players have been dropped from the final Black Stars squad for Zimbabwe clash.
Ghana have a scheduled doubleheader against the Warriors in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Head Coach Milovan Rajevac named 32 man-provisional list initially before trimming it down to 27 who are set for camping in Cape Coast.
Players who were omitted from the final list include, Mubarak Wakaso, Tariqe Henry Fosu, Alfred Duncan, Emmanuel Gyasi and Abdul Ismail Ganiu.
The team will commence preparations on Tuesday, October 5 ahead of the first leg on Saturday in Cape Coast before the second leg in Harare on October 12.
Ghana are on three points in Group G, while Zimbabwe lies bottom with none after two games. South Africa lead the group with 4 points followed by Ethiopia with 3 points.
