The Porcupine Warriors new skipper has expressed his delight for the honour bestowed him to lead the new era of the club
Asante Kotoko defender Ismail Abdul Ganiu has expressed his excitement following the club’s decision to name him the new captain ahead of the start of 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
After a series of negotiations that lasted for about four months, Kotoko via their social media handle announced the new deal with the Black Stars defender.
Asante Kotoko and Ganiyu agreed to a two-year contract extension yesterday. The club has confirmed on their Twitter page.
“Another platform to enjoy the teaming support of the Red Army and most importantly putting on the famous Red shirt.I also take this opportunity to whole heartedly accept the new responsibility placed on me as a leader”. Ganiyu tweeted on his personal twitter page.
Asante Kotoko to travel to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates to wrap up their pre-season ahead of the forthcoming season today.
The playing body, technical staff, and other senior members of the team will embark on the journey.
The club have confirmed that, the team will depart from Ghana on Thursday, October 7, 2021, and spend two weeks in the gulf country.
