Ghana Premier League giant Asante Kotoko three players have arrived safely in the Gulf region to join their colleagues for the pre-season tour ahead of the upcoming 2021/22 season.
Asante Kotoko deputy captain Razak Abalora , new sigend Richmond Lamptey and Joseph Amoako who joined from Inter Allies and Young Red Bulls Academy respectively could not join the club’s first contingent that left the country on Thursday due to some visa issues.
The trio left Kotoka International airport on Friday 8th October 2021 and safely arrived in Dubai early hours of Saturday to join their teammates. The club announced it on their twitter page.
Also, the other five players are yet to join the team in Dubai tomorrow Sunday 10h October 2021. They include former Berekum Chelsea captain Stephen Amankonah who signed a three-year deal with the club a few days ago. The club is expected to officially announce his acquisition before he joins his new teammates in Dubai.
The others include strikers Solomon Sarfo Taylor and Andy Kumi Francis as well as Samuel Boateng and Augustine Agyapong.
Kotoko is expected to spend two weeks in the Gulf region to fine-tune before they return for the commencement of the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season.
The Porcupine Warriors will open their campaign with an away trip to Dawu to lock horns with Dreams FC before they host Bechem United on matchday two.
