Newly-appointed head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Milovan Rajevac has answered his critics for calling him one goal project after his remarkable 3-1 win over Zimbabwe in his second debut as a head coach of the Ghana senior national soccer team.
Milovan managed the Black Stars between 2008 and 2010 and left after the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and was appointed again in September 2021 with a task to qualify the team for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
Ghana will play their Matchday 4 game against the Warriors on Tuesday in Harare, Zimbabwe. Ghana is now behind South Africa on the table with 6points to the 7 of the Bafana Bafana’s in the ongoing qualifiers for Qatar 2022 in Group G.
In a press conference after the game, Milovan stated “I said in a press conference that it was just some mantra from the journalistS but as you can see some others also say the type of defensive coach but if you look at the first eleven and how much we wanted to score we couldn’t have scored even three more goals and of course we couldn’t concede more than one but we are always trying to do our best and to try to score more goals by the end.
“Today we showed our attacking force but sometimes is not easy. You see is partially in this CAF match but in the end, everything was okay and we are satisfied with the effort and with the results.” Milovan answered.”
