Berekum Chelsea captain, Stephen Amankona has spoken for the first time after completing his much talked about move to Asante Kotoko SC.
Amankona reportedly rejected offers from other Ghana Premier League side like, Ashanti Gold SC and Medeama SC in order the join the Porcupine Warriors.
Kotoko after a long negotiations with Chelsea have eventually landed the player for fee reported to be GHC 150,000.
Amankona will pen a three-year deal with Ghana’s most successful club in the league, thus the contract runs out in 2024.
After completing the deal in the late hours of the just ended Ghanaian transfer window, the 21-year-old took Facebook to thank some personalities at Berekum Chelsea in a long message where he talked about his new challenge.
Chelsea have already bid farewell to thr player but Kotoko who are currently on a pre-season tour in Dubai are yet to officially announce the deal.
Stephen Amankona scored 10 goals in 28 matches last season, finishing the campaign as the Biribies top scorer.
