“There is a transformation in Black Stars” – Mohammed Polo assesses Coach Milovan’s win over Zimbabwe

Veteran Ghanaian footballer Mohammed Polo is affectionately known as ‘Dribbling Magician’ has assessed the handwriting of Black Stars newly appointed head coach Milovan Rajevac after winning his first game in his second coming as Black Stars head coach on Friday at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Ghana defeated ‘The Warriors’ of Zimbabwe by 3 goals to 1 courtesy of Kudus, Partey, and Andre Ayew whilst Zimbabwe’s captain Knowledge Musona had the consolation goal from the penalty spot.

Milovan was appointed aftermath termination of CK Akonnor’s contract as the head coach.

Ghana has already qualified for the AFCON 2021 which is scheduled to be kicked off in January next year in Cameroon due to the pandemic.

Ghana’s 3 – 1 win over Zimbabwe was a remarkable scoreline on that day due to the lack of goals in some previous games under Coach CK Akonnor.

According to the ex-Black Stars attacker, Dribbling Magician “There’s some agency in the team especially the presence of Partey and Kudus. I think they can help with the transformation.

“Some things have changed. There’s some kind of changes on their play but the presence of these two players helped for that transformation on that day and the kind of creativity was enough to get them those goals.”

Zimbabwe will on Tuesday, 12th October 2022 host Ghana for the return league.
