The Black Stars of Ghana have won their second leg encounter against The Warriors of Zimbabwe by 1 goal to nil.
Thomas Partey’s 31st-minute free-kick goal helped Ghana to secure their third 3 points in the ongoing World Cup qualifiers.
Black Stars opponent Zimbabwe tried their best to give the away side a tough game but the Black Stars fenced their goal post to protect their loan goal.
Kudus Mohammed Mohammed tried a lot of long balls but wasn’t able to find the back of the net.
Black Stars Alexander Djuku received a yellow card making it two cars after last weekend’s yellow against the same opponent. He was the only Ghanaian player to receive a yellow card and was substituted for Celta Vigo’s Joseph Aidoo on the 74th minute.
Samuel Owusu also came off the bench for Jordan on 86th minute, Andre Ayew for Mohammed Kudus, Caleb Ekuban came in to replace Benjamin Tetteh and German based Kofi Kyere for Sulemana Kamaldeen.
Ghana now tops the table in Group G with 9points out of four games whilst South with 7points but will play Ethiopia this evening in Johannesburg.
South Africa will lock horns with Ethiopia in the other group game at the Soccer City Sports Stadium in Johannesburg and a win for the Bafana Bafana will see them reclaiming the top spot.
Ghana will play Ethiopia next month away in the penultimate game in Addis Ababa before they host South Africa to decide who will make it out of the group.
