Asante Kotoko SC new gaffer Prosper Ogum Narteh marked his new challenge with a narrow defeat to Al-Hilal in a pre-season friendly in Dubai, United Arab Emirates(UAE).
Kotoko suffered 1-0 loss to the UAE third-tier side in an early morning friendly.
Christopher Nettey’s own goal in the second half meant new manager Prosper Narteh begins his spell with a painful defeat.
New signings, Dickson Afoakwa, Clinton Opoku, Joseph Amoah, Richard Boadu darted the game while Richmond Lamptey started from bench.
Asante Kotoko are on two weeks pre-season tour in the Asian country and will engage in another friendly before heading back to Ghana.
The Ghana Premier League commence on October 29.
