Wydad Athletic Club head coach, Walid Regragui is set to miss his side’s CAF Champions League first leg against Hearts of Oak in Accra, Ghana.
The gaffer has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 and thus will not be available at the dugout for the away side.
According to Nhyira FM Sports, the Red and White will now travel to Ghana without three teachnical team members, including the head coach, his assistant and physical trainer.
The report further state that three has tested positive upon a test run before their trip to Ghana.
However, WAC are yet to officially confirm the reported COVID-19 cases in their camp.
At the moment, the team is yet to arrive but their arrival is expected to be today.
The match is scheduled to take place at 3:00 PM kickoff time on Sunday, October 17 with 2,000 support to visit the Accra Sports Stadium to watch the game per CAF’s approval.
The Phobians continue preparations for the match with not injury worries.
The second leg encounter is set for October 24 at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca, Morocco.
