Asante Kotoko SC have announced that their third pre-season friendly against Atletico Arabia FC in Dubai, United Arab Emirates(UAE) has been cancelled.
The Reds were set to play the UAE tier three side today at 4PM kickoff time as the team look to conclude their pre-season tour in the Asian country.
According to a social media post via the club’s handle, the game has been called off due to technical reasons.
Hence, a final pre-season game has been scheduled on Thursday. The opponent for the last exercise will be announced soon.
Kotoko are expected to depart Dubai for Ghana on Friday to wrap up their preparations for the new Ghana Premier League(GPL) season.
The Porcupines upon their arrival will reportedly play an international friendly againt Tanzania giant Young Africans FC to reopen their renovated home venue for the season, Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Asante Kotoko will commence their GPL campaign in an away fixture against Dreams FC between October 29- November 1.
